Description

Participants will receive practical and theoretical grounding in the fundamentals of personal transformation, coaching and facilitation, and explore its intersectionality with Psychoanalysis.

This course will explore what it means to use the “self” as a coach by deepening an awareness of their own gifts, talents, skills, challenges, and strengths. Participants will engage the intersection of coaching, psychoanalytic methodologies, theories and concepts to distinguish a client’s life, situation,or circumstance. Learning methods include active listening, observation and use of the Socratic method, behavioral sciences and psychoanalytic approaches.

This course will examine the ways in which transformational work and coaching can help, heal, hurt or harm people. Participants will also work to cultivate their own coaching authority, identity, resources and limitations. Combining intellectual rigor with the lived reality, and integrating experiential exercises and spiritual sensibilities, participants will acquire applicable skills and knowledge. These skills will empower, distinguish and support individual growth, healing, and personal/professional development. Lastly, participants will explore the relationship between individual responsibility and agency, personal transformation and social transformation.

This workshop is highly beneficial for anyone in management, counseling, social work, human resources, or any field involving the training of individuals or teams.
